Three people have been confirmed dead and four left injured in a helicopter crash which occurred in the Oworonshoki area of Lagos State today, August 12, 2015.

The aircraft is said to have gone down behind the palace of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.

The crash has been confirmed by the southwest spokesman of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA),Ibrahim Farinloye.
“It is true but NEMA has not receive distress alert from the chopper on its mission control centre yet,” Farinloye said.
We have Maritime Distress Alert only about a ship around Warri in Delta State, rescue agencies are on their way to the scene,”he added.

The casualty figure was provided by the Nigerian Television Authority(NTA) via Twitter.
