Gang of robbers attacked a hospital, raping the female patients and nurses on duty.

Patients and nurses in a private hospital, Amazing Grace Hospital, in Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area, Ogun State, had a taste of horror when a deadly gang of armed robbers numbering more than 10, stormed the health facility in the night of Saturday, September 5, robbing them of their property before going ahead to rape the females among them, leaving the victims traumatized.
But luck however ran out on eight of the suspected robbers as they were later arrested by policemen attached to the Igbeba Division of the state Police Command after they allegedly robbed and shot dead a man identified as Alayande Oladipo at Olisa Street, in the town.
The state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSPOlumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed the incident and the arrest, saying other members of the gang escaped during a fierce gun battle with the police.
“The police operatives attached to Igbeba Division of the command swung into action immediately the information got to them and rushed to the said area where the suspected armed robbers opened fire on the police operatives who responded with heavy fire power which curtailed the men before eight of them were arrested.The leader of the gang, one Ayomide Muruf, alias Sucker, sustained bullet wounds in the battle. Other members of the gang arrested included Kayode (surname yet unknown) alias Small;Tunde RubenTomiwa AdekoyeAdeyemi AdegokeKufe EmmanuelMoses Udoh and Akeem Adenrele alias Polo, while some of the robbers escaped with bullet wounds.”
