Fayose’s outbursts against Buhari, ploy to evade justice – APC

Fayose’s outbursts against Buhari, ploy to evade justice – APCThe All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti State has described Governor Ayo Fayose’s persistent and harsh outburst against President Muhammadu Buhari as a ploy to escape justice.
The party said Fayose’s conduct has been an embarrassment to the state as it has “put the state at the receiving end of Nigerians’ evaluation of Ekiti people’s character”.
Specifically, the APC said Fayose’s recent unwarranted outbursts against Buhari, including allegation that the President wanted to Islamize Nigeria, were a disgraceful conduct intended to sway public sympathy in his favour when the nation’s law catches up with the governor in his many alleged crimes against the state.
The party also regretted that the governor’s public conduct has made Ekiti people a laughing stock among decent people of the world.
Publicity Secretary, Taiwo Olatunbosun, said in a statement on Sunday that the governor’s conduct could be traced to a deliberate scheme to set Nigerians against the President by the time he starts to answer for the many alleged crimes the governor had committed against the nation.
He said Fayose had a reason for appointing himself as the leader of the opposition in Nigeria, “even when reasonable people know that he is the least qualified for that role based on his uninspiring antecedents that cast him as a liability in a decent political environment.
S“We know Fayose as a devious schemer in the game of subterfuge with uncanny capacity to stoke public rage against his innocent opponents.
Advertisement“He is deliberately engaging the President relentlessly in his uncouth outbursts so that when the Nigerian law is being applied to take care of his many crimes against the state, he can then start his propaganda that he is being haunted for criticising the President,” Olatunbosun explained.Noting that President Buhari is not a religious bigot as Fayose is painting him, APC spokesman said the President so far had been fair to adherents of other religions in appointments and in running affairs of the state.
“If anyone is guilty of religious bigotry, it is Fayose who did not deem it fit to consider Muslims for appointments in his administration whereas he gave Christians almost 98 per cent of the appointments into the State Executive Council, parastatals and boards,” he said.
